SocialRevCounter
Public YouTube search

Find highly watched videos on a topic.

Enter a subject. SocialRevCounter asks YouTube for public videos and lists the ones with the highest view counts in that response. A language choice prefers that language. It cannot force every result to be spoken in it.

Search YouTube

Use a topic such as “sourdough bread” or “كرة القدم”. Results are cached briefly, show lifetime public view counts, and link back to YouTube. This is not an official chart of every video on the subject.

Public view counts · not earnings

What “most watched” means here

The request asks YouTube to order a topic search by view count, then SocialRevCounter reads each returned video’s public lifetime view count and sorts those rows again. The list can change as YouTube’s index changes. It does not include every upload that mentions the topic, private videos, or views that exist only inside YouTube Analytics.

Why some videos disappear after you pick a language

The language menu sends YouTube’s relevanceLanguage hint and then checks defaultAudioLanguage when the video has one, otherwise defaultLanguage. A declared language counts as a match when its first part equals your choice, so pt-BR matches Portuguese. For a language with its own writing system, a title in that script also stays, because YouTube sometimes stores the wrong audio language. A declared mismatch written in another script is removed. Latin-script languages have no reliable title test, so an undeclared video can remain and is labeled.

Open a video on YouTube before you treat it as the right one for your audience. Then, if you want a planning range for a channel you found, use the YouTube lookup or the calculator. Those estimates stay separate from this view count.
